What affects the cost of robot hire in NZ

Robot hire quotes in New Zealand depend on four things: how long the robot appears, where the event is, how much customisation you want, and the date. Every quote is fixed, in NZD with GST shown separately, and always includes the operator, setup, pack-down, travel and public liability insurance.
Duration
The biggest factor is time on site. A standard appearance covers 2–3 hours at one venue. Half-day conferences, trade shows and several appearances on the same day are quoted as extended or multi-session bookings.
If you're unsure how long you need, think about the moments that matter most, such as guest arrivals, a product reveal or the photo rush after speeches, and book around those.
Location and travel
Events in Auckland have the least travel. For Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown and other cities, flights or freight and accommodation are planned by us and built into your quote, so you see one fixed figure.
Booking more than one day in the same city, or teaming up with another event nearby, spreads the travel cost.

Date and timing
