How robot hire works in New Zealand

Hiring a humanoid robot in New Zealand takes four steps: send your date, venue and event type; get availability and a fixed quote within 24 hours; plan the greetings, timing and branding together; then on the day a trained operator sets up, runs the appearance and packs down.
1. Enquire with your date and venue
Start with the three things that decide availability: the event date, the venue or town, and the type of event. A rough guest count and the time you want the robot on the floor help too.
You can send these through the quote form, call, or book a 15-minute planning call if you'd rather talk it through.
2. Get availability and a fixed quote
Within 24 hours we confirm whether the robot is free on your date and send a fixed quote in NZD, with GST shown separately. The quote covers the operator, delivery, setup, pack-down, travel and public liability insurance, so there are no add-ons on the night.
Your date is held once the booking is confirmed. November and December fill first because of work Christmas parties and end-of-year functions, so book 6–8 weeks ahead for those months.
3. Plan the appearance
About a week or two out, we lock in the details with you:
- Run sheet: arrival time, when the robot appears, and for how long
- Custom greetings, names and talking points, including brand or product messages
- Any outfit, signage or branding on the robot
- Venue access: loading, lifts or stairs, and where the robot waits between sets
- Who on your team is the contact on the day
4. On the day
The operator arrives early, sets up in the agreed spot and checks the floor and power. During the event the operator controls the robot the whole time, adjusting to the crowd and your run sheet.
Appearances run in sets with short breaks between them. When it's done, we pack down and leave the space as we found it.
Anywhere in New Zealand
We're based in Auckland and travel to events across the North and South Island. For events outside Auckland, travel is planned and included in the quote, and multi-day bookings in the same city reduce the per-day travel share.

Within 24 hours of sending your date, venue and event type. The quote is fixed and covers the operator, setup, travel and insurance.
Does someone control the robot at my event?+
Yes. A trained operator is with the robot for the whole booking and controls its movement and interactions.
Can I hire a robot at short notice?+
Often, yes, if the date is free. Send your details and we'll confirm availability within 24 hours. Late November and December are the hardest dates to get at short notice.
